But hair loss after pregnancy is another common reason of hair loss in women. Most women undergo severe hair loss after they've had a baby. The causes of hair loss after pregnancy can also be traced to the imbalance of hormones.
During pregnancy, high levels of estrogen and progesterone hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out.

There are very low levels of estrogen in a woman’s body after giving birth to a child , and a low level of estrogen is one major cause of hair loss after pregnancy. After the delivery of the baby when the hormones come back to to pre-pregnancy levels those hairs start falling out rapidly and then normal cycle of growth and loss starts again. There is heightened level of progesterone and estrogen during pregnancy and when these levels drop suddenly after delivery this causes their hair to slip into the resting or telegen stage which in turn causes severe hair loss.
Thus giving birth to a child often gives way to temporary hair loss because of hormonal changes in the woman’s body. Most hair loss after pregnancy occurs between three and six months after pregnancy.
Post-pregnancy hair loss is a common phenomenon which is noticed in most women. There is no real cure for pregnancy related hair loss because it is temporary. It is imperative to realize that in most cases of hair loss after pregnancy, the new hair is already growing in while old hair is falling out.
So there is no major cause of concern about hair loss after pregnancy for the the situation is pretty temporary it usually remedies itself.
